Why herbs are important to Loving Care, and to you.

herb (ûrb), n. 1. a soft-stemmed plant without woody tissue that usually withers and dies each year; an often pleasant-smelling plant.

Look up herb in any standard dictionary and you’re likely to find something similar to the definition given above. Although "correct", it doesn’t tell the whole story. It doesn’t even scratch the surface of what herbs are, how they’re used or who provides them. With this in mind, let’s try again.

herb (ûrb) n. 1. an all natural plant-based medicine, put here by God, to assist, maintain, regulate and cure the ailments of His earth-dwelling children.

Natural?
Yes. Herbal remedies are harvested from the earth’s plant kingdom without added synthetic, man-made ingredients. They utilize a wide range of species in the plant world, and can exist in many variegated forms derived from roots, leaves, stems, flowers, buds, seeds, fruits, pollen, saps, juices and extracts from both land and sea plant life.

Medicine? Yes. In many cases, more effective in safely healing us than "modern" pharmaceuticals. This herbal advantage exists because they "assist" the body’s own inherent healing mechanism, without unwanted side effects. The body is engaged in correcting the problem, not just masking the symptoms. This method of treatment can be used to promote a very subtle healing effect on our internal mood, personality, and temperament, or impart a bold "in your face" force in the eradication of disease, damaged tissue and other systemic dysfunctions of the body.

God? Yes. The good Lord has truly placed these "tonics from nature" on the planet for our well being, repair, restoration and daily upkeep. Many (if not all) revealed scriptures of the world, provide various herbal treatments and "cures" as instruction for our benefit. Some very ancient scriptural texts describe in great detail, entire medical sciences which are thousands of years old and are still practiced successfully in many cultures around the world today. For example, Ayurveda is a "holistic" medical process described in the Vedas (an extremely vast body of scriptural writings dating back over 5000 years) and is comprised of a complete system of herbal remedies, meditation, exercise, diet, yoga and massage.

In this complex world, it’s comforting to know the Lord gave us the "operation manuals" for staying healthy and happy by infusing the planet with the necessary ingredients for us to naturally deal with what ails us. This is where our full line of Nature’s Cupboard™ capsulated and liquid herbal dietary supplements come in.

If you’re reading this, you’re already on your way to a happier, healthier lifestyle, thus we would like to salute you and your vision of natural health for yourself, your family and friends. It is indeed "Your life. Your love. Your health."

Herbs are our gifts from nature. They can help us compensate for past bad eating habits and our neglect of proper body waste elimination. To maximize our herb’s health promoting effects, it’s helpful to understand and follow our body’s own internal digestion clock.

This natural clock suggests not eating heavy foods in the morning hours. The body prefers fasting or light meals of fruit during these pre-noon hours. During this time, our bodies are continuing to eliminate internal waste partially derived from the previous day’s food intake. Fruit naturally assists this elimination process with its easily digestible, high water content, laxative nature. When we eat heavier foods during these hours, the body is forced to interrupt this eliminatory function, holding onto this toxic waste indefinitely. If this function is not interrupted, the bowels "move" easier and all the other eliminatory organs remain very active and on track.

It is also important to train ourselves to not eat heavy meals after 8 pm because of the beginning of the assimilation process in which our body begins turning the food we’ve eaten during the day into fuel for developing healthy cells, tissue, bones, etc.

When we regulate our eating habits to conform to our body’s internal clock, it is easy for the body to keep itself healthy, slim, fit and disease free.

Some other health maximizing tips:

Sugar is an addictive, toxic drug (especially processed white sugar) and should be avoided. It can lead to arthritis and decay in all parts of the body (internally and externally), and promotes imbalances in the nervous system.

Meat, fish and eggs are very harmful to the body, and should not be eaten. The human body is not designed to digest "flesh" products. When eaten, these items take an extremely long time to digest and begin to putrefy—thus internally poisoning the body. In addition, these items are especially destructive because they contain harmful drugs (antibiotics, steroids, hormones etc.) and other unnatural chemicals, toxic to our systems. Lately there's been a lot of attention on "mad cow" and the extreme toxic levels of farm grown salmon fish and the world wide problem of the sudden farm chicken deaths.

These episodes are further indications of the harm in consuming flesh products. The outbreak of diseases in these animals and fish has been traced back to their feed being mixed with other animal parts (some from previously diseased animals) and chemicals toxic to their (and our) systems. In addition, when you consider that all of these animals and fish are naturally vegetarian in nature, it's clear to see that their diets are poisonous to their systems and your health will be affected if you consume them.
