Bragg Liquid Amino Acids is a liquid "soy sauce like" mixture made purely from vegetables. It's not fermented like soy sauce and it's great for adding that salty taste without adding salt. It can be purchased from most any health food store, especially larger chains like Fresh Fields/Whole Foods Market. |

Tofu: pre-frozen and defrosted. We don't recommend buying frozen tofu unless it's all you have available. It's important to buy firm tofu (it comes in varying textures) for dishes where you need it to not dissolve or fall apart. [If you were making a sauce, for example, you'd buy "soft" tofu]. To make it extra firm, freeze it over night and then defrost by leaving it out for a few hours. You can also do a quick defrost by boiling it in water and then squeezing the excess water out of it. This makes it the perfect texture for most dishes. |

Healthy Water. It's best to used filtered or bottled water for drinking, cooking and washing your fruits and vegetables. Not only will this usually greatly improve the taste of your foods, it'll help you remain chemical-free. Avoid using distilled water for this. |
